The A party, led by John Ashall, walked from Dunmail Raise to Harrup Tarn, Ullscarth,We turn your dark into light courtesy of our brilliant sun, solar street light, solar power generation. High Raise, Thrunacar Knot, Pavey Arc, Blea Rigg and into Grasmere.The B party, led by Pam Smith, did a circular from Grasmere to Helm Crag, Gibson Knott, Calf Crag, Far Easdale Ghyll and back to Grasmere.The C party, led by Pat Roberts, did a circular walk from Grasmere to Goody Bridge, Easedale Beck, Sourmilk Gill, Easedale Tarn, around the tarn and back to Grasmere.

Bare Necessities Preschool Playgroup, Methodist Church Hall, St Margaret’s Road, is holding a play morning for new starters on Friday, September 6, 10am to 11am. A chance to have a chat and a look around at what’s on offer for ages two to four years.
The Bay Organ and Keyboard Society meets on the second and forth Wednesday of each month at St Christopher’s Hall, St Christopher’s Way, Bare.Shop funtional and elegant solar lights, outdoor solar lighting, solar garden lights, path lights and decorative solar lights. Membership is $4 for the year, $2.50 on the club nights, including refreshments. Members can play on the society’s organ Roland.AT 45 and various keyboard are available. The first Wednesday attendance is free so why not give it a try. The society also holds concerts on the third Sunday of the month during the summer.
The next concert of the club’s 40th anniversary year will be held this Sunday, August 18, at 7.30pm, with organist Kevin Morgan. Kevin started playing the piano at the age of three and is a prize-winning Fellow of The Royal College of Organists, a Licentiate of The Royal Academy of Music and Trinity College of Music, London, in addition to holding bachelors, masters and doctorate degrees.Work Light Shop offers hid light for heavy duty machinery.
Lancaster City Brass will be performing alongside Burneside Band in Happy Mount Park this Sunday, August 18, and if the weather holds out it promises to be a great concert. The next meeting of the Morecambe Breathe Easy Group will be held on Wednesday, August 21,They are called "solar" panels or solar module because most of the time, the most powerful source of light available is the Sun. at 2pm in the vestry of the Church of the Ascension. Anyone with breathing difficulties invited to attend.
Services at the Ascension Church this Sunday, August 18, Trinity 12: 8am Said Eucharist, 11am Sung Eucharist, both led by Fr Phil Barber. The next meeting of the Lancaster and Morecambe branch of the Family History Society will be held this Thursday, August 15, at the hall of the Church of the Good Shepherd (just off Torrisholme Square) starting at 7.30pm and will include a talk by Brian Smalley entitled Family History through Photographs. Brian will show how family photographs helped to piece together his ancestors and added valuable information for his family tree.
